Schuylkill Acts & Impacts

June 15, 2019 12:00pm to June 22, 2019 9:00pm

Date: Saturday, June 15th (8:00am) through Saturday, June 22nd (5:00pm)

Location: Schuylkill River

Schuylkill Acts & Impacts is a week-long watershed expedition along the 120-miles of the Schuylkill River, from its headwaters in the anthracite coal lands of Schuylkill County to its confluence with the Delaware River in Philadelphia. Twelve select students from all five counties (Schuylkill, Berks, Montgomery, Chester, and Philadelphia) in the watershed come together to experience first-hand the impact of human development on water quality through guided tours, fieldwork, water sampling and interactive presentations with environmental professionals throughout the watershed. They camp, kayak, and have lots of fun!

This years 6th annual Schuylkill Acts & Impacts watershed program will be held from June 15-22, 2019.

Follow the expedition on the Schuylkill Acts & Impacts Facebook page.
