Join us for the Water Cooler Talk: Leveraging Power of Community and Science event and gather around the virtual water cooler as one collective water resource community! Have you wondered how to build scientific and environmental literacy while collecting meaningful data? Developing a community-based science project can be an effective means of collecting data and reaching diverse audiences while providing education on how to use science to understand the world around us. It is also an opportunity to engage local communities and volunteers in collecting data that can lead to results in understanding, protecting, and restoring local environments. Explore models of community-based science, Pennsylvania’s history with aquatic monitoring, and case studies that illustrate the power of community-led efforts!

About Us
The Schuylkill Action Network (SAN) is a collaborative network of over 300 partner organizations working together to improve water resources in the Schuylkill River watershed. With "action" as SAN’s middle name, SAN partners have been working since 2003 to implement best practices across the Schuylkill River Watershed.
